
INTERNATIONAL DOORWAYS EDUCATOR AMBASSADOR OPPORTUNTIES
General Information:
ID Educator Ambassador’s will inspire teens to join an Overseas Odyssey or a Serve the World program. Each a summer journey of service, self-discovery & fun! These educators will commit to referring individual participants or putting together groups of participants from their school or country.
Ambassador Positions:
ID Educator Ambassador’s accompany a group of participants from their home country to their specific International Doorways program location site. Ambassadors receive specific incentives dependant on the number of students referred.
• Who we are looking for?
We are looking for mature, fun, detail-oriented, independent, responsible educators with great follow-through & passion for travel.
The Benefits:
Overseas Odyssey Options: (21-30 days) Co-ed summer programs for teenagers that combine travel, community service, cross-cultural interaction, language study, short internships and outdoor adventure internationally.
Serve the World: (14 Days) Each journey is two weeks long, and the focal point of each is community service, offering a chance to serve the world. Serve the World allows you to provide aid to an assortment of demanding causes that meet the pressing needs of the local communities.
AMBASSADOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Note: While In-country educators will be working hand in hand @ all times with an assigned International Doorways Group Leader as well as our In-Country Support.
The responsibilities of the educator begins at the time of enrollment into the ID Educator Ambassador program to the assignment of host country and extend through the completion of the educator’s report. While In-country, educators are on duty and responsible for participants twenty-four hours a day and seven days a week. Educators are required to be at least 21 years of age.
• To insure the participant’s safety & welfare.
• To administer program logistics.
• To facilitate the learning experience & to encourage personal growth of the participants.
PRE-PROGRAM:
• Communicate & maintain communication with the ID head office, the participants & their families until the time of departure.
PROGRAM:
• Meet participants at selected gateway city.
• Be present & with the group throughout the program.
• Conduct orientation at host country.
• Meet with all participants within the first week to ensure everything is progressing smoothly and the participants are gaining the utmost from their experience.
• Create a collaborative relationship with our In-Country representatives/hosts.
• Maintain contact with & support all participants requesting assistance as needed.
• Carry out planned activities.
• Conduct a program evaluation at the end of the summer program.
POST PROGRAM:
• Submit educator’s report & evaluations to the International Doorways Inc. office.
